Qatar halted LNG production in early March 2026 after the Hormuz closure, and mid-March strikes sidelined two of its 14 trains (~17% of capacity, under multi-year repair). Exports now look set to restart: QatarEnergy is repositioning tankers to Ras Laffan and signals it can restore ~50% of capacity within a month of safe passage, ~80% within two. Satellite-observed activity has ticked up over the past month, still well below the 77 MTPA nameplate.
